Inspire — popular flow experience recorded as prototype
If you are one of those who take screenshots of inspiring designs and bookmark videos that portray flows that inspire you, they we are in complete sync! While I am on Dribbble or Behance or when I come across an amazing new app, I tend to screenshot the designs and keep them as a reference for my future design projects.
Having said that, I was the one who first popped up with the idea of having an “Inspire page on CanvasFlip”. Recently when I was re-visiting the Inspire page, I found these apps that world leaders in their domain. And honestly it isn’t just a coincidence that they have such an amazing experience. Rather, they are world leaders because they offer such amazing experiences to their users.
Just the next week I have a talk cum demo with the interns at CanvasFlip. The idea of the demo is to talk to them about the simplicity and accuracy of these phenomenal apps. For this purpose I have recorded the interaction flow of these prototypes using CanvasFlip. I thought it would be a great discussion if I shared the same with folks on Medium (after all I find it the most engaging platform for designers)
Go through these videos to walk through their interaction flows
- Gmail : Send flow
Task : Compose a mail, attach an image and send the mail to your colleague.
2. Google Slides : Sharing flow
Task : Share a Google slide with teammates who have to collaborate on the presentation.
3. Dropbox : Sharing flow
Task : Share the entire folder with a friend so that he can view the photos
4. AirBnb : Booking flow
Task : Book a rental on Airbnb from 19th Oct to 20th Oct in Bangalore.
5. Google Allo : Onboarding flow
Task : Understand the features of Google Allo and onboard onto the app
Impressive flows. Isn’t it?
I thought in the end, I should also talk a little about the videos I inserted above. CanvasFlip has recently launched this feature where you can quickly preview the prototype you made and record the interactions on it for a demo. This makes sure that your audience does not miss out in any interaction while trying it out.
My email id is monika@canvasflip.com. Would love to know which are the apps that you have bookmarked for your reference. I am sure it will be an amazing talk over the mail! :)
